Description

Garden City is a 33,000 square meter mall in Nairobi, Kenya. Backed by Actis Private Equity, it is the first mixed-use development in East Africa to gain LEED certification.

The 858 kWp solar carport installation is integrated into the rooftop carpark and provides clean energy to the mall and surrounding mixed-use buildings.

It is the largest solar carport in Africa and the largest rooftop solar project in East Africa. It produces sufficient electricity to power over 550 urban homes in Nairobi and will offset around 18,750 tonnes of carbon over the lifetime of the system.

Description

The Kigali Genocide Memorial is a site of national importance in Rwanda.

The solar installation provides cheaper, cleaner power that provides the majority of the Memorial's needs during daylight hours.

The project was developed by Centennial Generating Co. with financing from CrossBoundary Energy.

Description

Loisaba is a luxury ecotourism resort and ranch in Kenya, located approximately 250km north of Nairobi in Laikipia County.

The 74.40 kWp solar-battery installation provides clean, quiet, reliable and affordable power.

It is the largest solar-battery PPA in East Africa.
